Haven Counseling

Christ's Church is blessed to have Haven Counseling Center on our campus. Haven is dedicated to Biblically based, affordable counseling from a Christian perspective to help individuals and families. Our counselors, who maintain clear values in faith, work hard to provide appropriate, timely and cost effective treatment to meet the unique needs of each person.

Services

Jesus Christ – and His revelation in the Old and New Testament of the Bible, as the inspired Word of God – is the preeminent model for Haven’s counseling practice, ethics, caregiving activities and the final authority for all matters about which it speaks. Haven Counseling offers help with a wide variety of personal and family issues; substance abuse, marital conflicts, divorce/blended family issues, grief, loss and separation issues, behavioral problems, addictive behavior, childhood abuse, family conflicts, depression, issues of spirituality, identity issues.

In addition to individual counseling, during the school year, classes, support groups and Bible studies are offered at various times in order to give opportunities for learning and for applying the truths of the Bible. These classes cover a range of topics including grief, pre-marital classes, divorce recovery, parenting, recovery from addictions, marriage and family classes. Whether a Bible study, a class about spiritual disciplines, or a support group for finding freedom from pain and suffering, there is always a chance for connection and growth.

Pre-marriage counseling is available for couples who wish to marry at CCO or use one of our ministers.   Our desire is to help you develop tools that will increase your ability to serve and love each other for a lifetime.

Our premarital counseling utilizes an on-line “SYMBIS – Pre-Marriage Assessment” to facilitate in the counseling sessions. The SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) covers strategic areas such as: Marriage Expectations – Communication – Finances – Love Style – Conflict Resolution – Spiritual Dynamics.
