About Eric

“I’m at Christ’s Church because God has a good sense of humor. Back in 2002, I preached at a small church in Southwest Missouri that (at the time) had a partnership with CCO. To make a long story short, I didn’t perform my duties as preaching minister well and as a result was replaced by someone far more competent than me. As a result of that incident, CCO became (in my head) a marker of my own failure in ministry. When I was looking for an internship as a counselor 8 years later another potential employer referred me to Haven Counseling at CCO. I put in an application thinking (and somewhat hoping) that CCO wouldn’t be likely to demonstrate interest in me. 4 years later, I’m so thankful for second chances. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to not only work with clients individually, but to help connect them with other resources within the body of Christ (Service opportunities, small groups, classes, …). It’s been a joy to get connected to the church as a family and see my kids grow in their knowledge and love of God. As a Counselor on Staff, I have the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and groups who are seeking growth in their lives. I love having the opportunity to support those who are dealing with brokenness in their own lives and the lives of those they love.”
