“We came to Christ’s Church around 2008, as we discovered our Grandchildren would go to Church if we brought them here…and we stayed. I currently serve as a counselor in Haven Counseling. I love that our church holds a unique position of combining truth and grace.”
Naomi married her husband, John, on August 22, 1981. They have three children, Jennifer, Jeanette and Jeremiah

Naomi’s Counseling Background
Naomi Hunter is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 32 years of experience, including 13 years in faith-based counseling. She holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Missouri Southern State University and a Master’s in Counseling from Pittsburg State University.
She is a Certified EMDR Trauma Therapist, Court-Certified Mediator, trained in sex addiction treatment through the American Association of Christian Counselors, and certified in the Prepare/Enrich pre-marital assessment.
Naomi’s past roles include Crisis Counselor at Ozark Center, Family Focus Director at Turnaround Ranch, Residential Therapist in Miami, OK, and Counselor at Mt. Hope Christian Counseling. She joined Christ Church Counseling Center in 2020 and has served in ministry across Missouri, Hawaii, and Kansas.

Naomi integrates clinical tools with spiritual truth to support whole-person healing—mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual. Her counseling includes individuals, couples, and families, addressing areas like depression, anxiety, addiction, grief, family estrangement, and relationship issues.
Her approach includes cognitive restructuring, communication skills, and boundary-setting, grounded in grace and forgiveness. She encourages Scripture meditation as part of the healing process, often sharing her favorite verse:
