KNOW about Watered Gardens’ Ministry
Watered Gardens exists to engage with the homeless and impoverished in Joplin and beyond through Christ-centered initiatives. Their mission has many facets: Forge, The Worth Shop, The Outreach Center/Overnight Shelter, and the Washington Family Hope Center. Each serves a distinct purpose, from fostering career readiness and character development to helping families stay together in times of crisis. Their outreach services include food, clothing, and shelter, addressing the daily needs of those in difficult situations. For men and women seeking to break the cycle of dependency, the Worth Shop provides a unique opportunity to work, create, and earn. By knowing and understanding these various facets, our church can better appreciate the impactful work Watered Gardens is doing for our community.
GROW in Prayer For and Generosity Towards Watered Gardens

Watered Gardens has more than 700 volunteer shifts each month and is always in need of willing hands and hearts. Our Student Ministry serves breakfast and leads a worship service the second Sunday morning of each month. Watered Gardens
Watered Gardens exists to serve the local Church in its mission to help the poor in Jesus’ name. Their desire is to see the Church boldly engaged with the homeless and poor relationally, responsibly, and compassionately. They offer a variety of services and basic needs to families including overnight shelter, meals, home goods, as well as providing spiritual guidance to those they serve.
