We all have a choice, we can either betray Him or honor Him with our actions.

How easy it is for me to focus on Judas Iscariot and his betrayal plans of Jesus in these scriptures.  I wonder how in the world he could walk with Jesus for three years and not see the goodness of Jesus and want to fully be a part of that.  But he allowed Satan into his heart and gave space for deceit to take hold of him. I don’t believe that money was the full reason Judas agreed to be a part of the conspiracy.  When Satan became a part of him, he could no longer make a place for Jesus.
In contrast to Judas was the woman who poured expensive perfume on Jesus’ head.  She had also seen Jesus and experienced his goodness but she hadn’t made a place for Satan to dwell in her heart.  Her only thoughts were in honoring Jesus and showing her love for Him.
We all have a choice, we can either betray Him or honor Him with our actions.  Jesus knows our struggles and with the help of the Holy Spirit and time spent in the Word, we can overcome our temptations.  Praying daily for guidance in our choices will see us through whatever our actions will be. I want to be the woman who honors and adores Him, who keeps Jesus first in my thoughts and actions and who is remembered for the good things I have done for Him.
