Counseling Center
Christ’s Church Counseling
Dedicated to Biblically based, professional, and affordable counseling from a Christian perspective.
Jesus Christ – and His revelation in the Old and New Testament of the Bible, as the inspired Word of God – is the preeminent model for the Counseling Center’s practice, ethics, caregiving activities and the final authority for all matters about which it speaks. Christ’s Church counseling offers help with a wide variety of personal and family issues such as substance abuse, marital conflicts, divorce/blended family issues, grief, loss and separation issues, behavioral problems, addictive behavior, childhood abuse, family conflicts, depression, and issues of spirituality or identity.
In addition to individual counseling, during the school year we offer classes, support groups and Bible studies at various times in order to give opportunities for learning and for applying the truths of the Bible. These classes cover a range of topics including grief, pre-marital classes, healing from divorce, recovery from addictions, parenting, marriage and family classes. Whether a Bible study, a class about spiritual disciplines, or a support group for finding freedom from pain and suffering, there is always a chance for connection and growth.

WHILE WE'RE WAITING
When a parent loses a child, you are faced with the reality of many years ahead of you before you are reunited with that child in Heaven. As you face those seemingly interminable years, we have some choices to make… Are you going to abandon or apply your faith? Are you going to allow grief to make you bitter, or allow God to use grief to make you better?
These, and many more questions, are discussed at the While We’re Waiting support groups. Here you’ll find other parents who have gone through the same life-altering moment of losing a child. Here you’ll find others who have found hope on the other side.
