Jesus is constantly teaching those who follow him that it is better to give than it is to receive. This attitude of generosity starts with a commitment to tithe 10% of what God gives to us because it acknowledges that nothing is ours to hoard. Everything we have has been given in order that it may become a blessing. Generosity is a kingdom mindset and a fundamental way that blessing works its way out into God’s world. When we see needs, we meet them.

Needs can present themselves in many ways, so whether you are someone with specific gift sets and skills who can fix cars, plumbing, floors, or any other sort of maintenance, or whether you give of your financial resources, God uses it all for his glory and our good.
