Solitude
Letting God just have you and your conversation can be a helpful way to experience him.
Jesus gives us a model of being with the Father that creates solitude with him. This means we simply shut out everything else around us. We find a quiet place, whether in our home, in our church, or in God’s world, and we go and speak with him there. This should be a place where you can speak out loud with God, and one where you can spend considerable time with him. The point is that you wouldn’t allow any opportunity for a distraction to interrupt your time speaking with your Father.
You can use this time praying, hearing him speak in his Word, singing, or any other activity that gives you quality time with him.
