What hasn’t changed though is God continuing to use our 23 partners to change the world. What also hasn’t changed is your generosity.
Usually, this spot in the blog rotation is reserved for whoever is serving as our Initiative of the Month – a ministry partner that Christ’s Church sends monthly financial support to. During that month we also send all profits from our cafe to that partner as an additional financial blessing. Since our cafe is not currently open during services, we’ve waited to highlight our partners as we have in the past.
What hasn’t changed though is God continuing to use our 23 partners to change the world. What also hasn’t changed is your generosity through your regular tithes and offerings that are allowing us to continue to support these ministries as well as share special gifts with them.
So in light of the fact that it’s easy to find bad news these days, as an Impact team we wanted to pass along some good news that is happening locally and around the world.
God continues to grow His church in Japan through the 5 existing churches as well as the news that a 6th church will launch in early 2021 in Sendai. This is especially exciting since Ethan and Audrey Greer, along with a team that includes Sam and Rachel Martin, will be leading this new plant. Mustard Seed has seen numerous baptisms in this season, including 2 new believers who were baptized last week. One of those new family members invited a friend to come and witness the decision and engaged in conversation and was baptized as well, meaning the church in Osaka was able to celebrate three baptisms in one day!
The church in India continues to grow as well, despite health concerns and persecution as new churches are being established.
A variation of the normal sports and English camp was accomplished in Taiwan, new communities in South East Asia are learning how to provide necessary crops and food for themselves and along the way, seeds continue to be sown for the Gospel.
Thousands of students across the country have been able to experience Move/AT and MIX/AT through the ministry of Christ in Youth.
Locally, mercy ministries like LifeChoices and Watered Gardens continue to thrive and provide important care in our own community. Ozark Christian College continues to train men and women for ministry.
Our partner Kritsana was able to return to Thailand and is back at the incredible work of empowering churches as well as providing housing and education to children who otherwise wouldn’t have that opportunity.
The church in Barbados continues to meet virtually and grow in their discipleship as they look forward to opening a new facility that can serve the community of Church Village better than ever.
Right Here Right Now continues to provide our church members with opportunities to share God’s love in tangible ways both for people who have experienced hardship due to Covid-19 and also for those with other medical and financial needs.
There is even an opportunity this month to practice generosity as we collect food items to be shared with our school partners throughout the community as they prepare to welcome kids back to school and care for both their educational and physical needs. Let’s be praying for our teachers and administrators as they do this important kingdom work.
This is just a glimpse at what God continues to do. So be encouraged, Church. God is not constrained or limited by things like we may feel we are. His Kingdom is growing, light is shining through the darkness. Today as you read this, be encouraged and consider how you might be a part.
