Community:

(noun) (/kəˈmyo͞onədē/)

The sphere of influence God has placed us in to worship, grow, learn, and serve. Our community includes the God-ordained arenas of family, friends, and neighbors so that we can be a blessing to others and enjoy the blessing of God.

How to Commune

Church

The group of Jesus followers who actively participate in the Triniatrian life of God. They are resurrection people who make up the Kingdom of God and gather together to exalt God and be transformed by him.

Discipleship

Intentional group or mentorship that fosters space for accountability, encouragement, and growth.

Classes

Arenas for apprenticeship and study that equip God’s people for Bible Knowledge, Daily Walk, or Healthy Life.

Small Groups

Little churches that seek to enjoy fellowship and share life together through smaller gatherings. These groups aren’t meant to replace the Church, but strengthen it.

Support Groups

Unique gatherings where specific challenges and celebrations can be shared and brought under the Lordship of Jesus.

Sabbath

Unique space that we carve out to rest in the provisions of God, the sovereignty of God, with the people of God.

What to do in Community

Worship

The everyday behavior we express toward what we find most ultimate. When done in community it becomes the formal behavior of the people of God through the proclamation of the Gospel, the Lord’s Table, baptism, singing, praying, and sharing in the Word of God.

Care

The awareness of spiritual and emotional needs and the aptitude to meet them.

Learn

The attitude of humility that allows us to grow in knowledge, maturity, and confidence.

Serve

The activity of using our God-given gifts and opportunities to edify the Church, be a blessing to the world, and bring glory to God.

Be Generous

The awareness of physical needs and the aptitude to meet them.

Be Accountable

The unique relationship in which lives are completely open to one another so that self-disclosure, confession, and repentance can be exchanged in grace and truth.
